Fundraise

We rely on fundraising to sustain and support our ongoing capital programme.

Ability West has always operated a busy fundraising programme and we are very appreciative of the time and generosity provided by our many supporters.

Fundraised monies unless otherwise specified by the donor is used towards our capital programme. This programme includes new builds, extensions and refurbishments of existing buildings, the purchase of specialised equipment and buses/minibuses. Fundraised monies are vital so that we can continue to provide high quality services and supports to children and adults with an intellectual disability and comorbidity. No funds raised are utilised for salary purposes.

For example, during 2019, fundraising enabled us to carry out an extensive refurbishment and extension to one of residential services in Salthill, and we were undertook many minor alterations and improvements to our day, residential and respite centres.
